Qantas plans to run non-stop flights between Sydney and Bengaluru.

Qantas, Australia’s leading airline company, will soon launch direct flights between Sydney and Bengaluru (previously known as Bangalore). The flights will commence from September 14th, operating four round trips per week using Airbus A330 widebody aircraft. The airline has also announced a planned codeshare agreement with India’s largest domestic carrier, IndiGo, to offer direct connections to 50 cities. The expected new free trade agreement is also expected to increase demand for the flights. Additionally, Qantas and Jetstar will be starting new direct flights between Sydney and Seoul, as part of their plan to expand their international network from Sydney, promoting post-COVID tourism recovery in New South Wales.

Four weekly return flights will be operated from Sydney to Bengaluru from 14 September.

Qantas will soon launch its first non-stop flights between Australia and southern India, cutting almost three hours from the current quickest travel time from Sydney to Bengaluru, which is a growing hub for technology and financial services. The airline stated that there is a strong demand for travel between the two regions due to the Bengaluru community’s connection to Australia, which includes business travel and visiting friends and relatives. The recent announcement of the Australia-India free trade agreement is expected to further strengthen these trade connections.

Last year, Qantas began operating flights from Sydney to Delhi and Melbourne to Delhi. The airline will continue to offer up to five flights per week between Melbourne and Delhi, making it the only carrier that provides direct flights between Australia and both northern and southern India. Additionally, the airline intends to enter a codeshare agreement with IndiGo, India’s largest domestic airline, which will offer improved one-stop access to over 50 cities in India. The agreement will allow Qantas passengers to easily transfer from Qantas flights in Bengaluru, Delhi, or Singapore to IndiGo services for travel to major cities and smaller destinations such as Pune and Goa.

Research: Great Barrier Reef is no more resilient as before

As per a recent research by scientists of AIMS (Australian Institute of Marine Science) and University of Queensland,  Great Barrier Reef is not more resilient as it was before as its ability to recover has decreased due to many factors like coral bleaching, cyclones, and water quality.

Great Barrier Reef

Great Barrier Reef

The great barrier reef is the largest living thing on the earth visible from the space. It is 2300 km long ecosystem near Queensland in north Australia. It is home of a number of sea species. There are more than 600 types of corals and approximately a thousand islands. The GBR is a world heritage site with an area of approximately 3.5 lakh square kilometers. It has been a very popular tourist destination in Australia.

As per Dr. Ortiz, author of University of Queensland’s’ school of biological science and AIMS, this is the first time a drop in a recovery rate of this amount has been observed.

Results indicate that coral recovery is more depends on water quality which is suppressed by factors like cyclones over past years. If the quality of water entering reef is improved, there are more chances of high recovery in some reef.

A 500 million AUD package has been assigned by the federal government this year for the GBR, but experts say it will not be enough. The GBR was affected heavily due to coral bleaching and climate change during the year 2016-17. This package is given to improve water quality and scientific research to protect the reef.

One may be worried about their privacy. For this, your test results are strictly confidential and only shared with you via telephone or email.

This is the great initiative by NSW health during three days NSW music festival and making people aware about their sexual health.
